Implementing a programming-based reward system posed a significant challenge due to the need for seamless automation and precision. The system required querying customer data daily to identify birthdays and then issuing reward points and emails accurately. Ensuring that the cron job runs consistently without failure, especially during periods of high server load, was critical. Additionally, integrating the reward points management feature into the Magento Admin Panel demanded meticulous customization to maintain alignment with the platform’s native functionalities. Managing edge cases, such as customers with incomplete or erroneous data, further complicated the implementation.
The integration of Twilio Flex with Magento introduced another layer of complexity. Real-time synchronization between Twilio and Magento was essential to ensure that customer information was fetched accurately and displayed promptly for staff handling customer calls. This required robust React code and a reliable API connection hosted on DigitalOcean servers, ensuring minimal latency. Addressing potential issues such as caller ID mismatches, API failures, and maintaining data security during transmission added further challenges. Moreover, designing the system to be scalable and maintainable while integrating seamlessly with existing infrastructure posed additional hurdles for the development team.
We Built a Script to Automatically Query Customers’ Tables and if Find a Row Where Customers’ Date of Birth is Populated With Today’s Date Then It Will Send an Email Using a Magento Email Template. It Will Run via Cron Job Every Midnight. This Same Script Should Also Issue the Customer 200 Reward Points. It is Able to Edit How Many Birthday Points a Customer Gets via the Magento Admin Panel Where the Customer Reward Points Admin Screen Goes to Stores > Confirmation > Customers > Reward Points
When a Customer Calls Currently the System Will Pull the Customer’s Phone Number From the Caller Id and Will Query the Magento Customers Table to Find the Customer’s Data. The Goal is When a Customer Calls for the Staff Member to Have This Information Pulled From Magento Into Twilio. We Have Integrated React Code and Magento API and Then Call From Digital Ocean Server Where When a Call is Received in Twilio Twilio Then Makes a Call Out to Our Cloud Server to Run Custom React Code That Uses the Magento API to Get Some Information Based on the Caller’s Caller Id and Pull It Into Twilio.
The Client’s Old Website Was Running on an Old Version of Magento, Lacked Important Security Upgrades, and Had an Outdated UI Design That Was Not User-friendly. So We Upgraded Magento 2.3.4 Version to Magento 2.4.4 Version the Website to a More Secure Version, Redesigned the Theme, and Implemented a Whole New Look and Feel With an Optimized Theme. We Executed the Project Using the Jira Project Management Tool, Planned Sprints, and Utilised the Adobe Commerce Environments for Development. We Also Managed the Bitbucket Repositories.
